| Dear Mr. Schwing |
| |
|
I recently heard what you did to assist a mariner onboard the M/V JOSE BRIGHT in late May, and wanted to express my appreciation to you.
|
| |
|
Despite the late weekend hour, you sought an EMT to ride the launch to assist Mr. Muang and accompanied the EMT offshore. Assisting the EMT on the ride back to shore, Mr. Muang suffered several seizures, which you assisted in controlling. I also understand that you orchestrated the shoreside medical transportation and mobilize the appropriate emergency medical personnel at St. Joseph’s Hospital to treat the Methanol poisoning. Your efforts clearly assisted in saving Mr.Muang’s life.

Your selfless actions are commended and in keeping with the highest traditions of humanitarian and public service. Thank you and Bravo Zulu from the U. S. Coast Guard.

Sincerely, |
| |
